Mastering is the process of fine-tuning a track or album and readying it for distribution. This may entail working on the tonal balance, stereo image, soundstage, dynamic range, and overall level.
I allow for up to three sets of revisions per project.
The actual process can take a 1-2 hours for a single and up to 2 days for an album.
Ideally, a song should have 1 second of silence at the beginning and end, a peak level below -1 dB, and be rendered at the sample rate and bit-depth that it was recorded at.
